Recognized as the first true Cartier wristwatch, the Santos, named after famed Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont for whom it was especially designed, was created in 1904.
The Santos exhibits Cartier's classic sophistication. It features the Santos' classic stainless steel case with screwed down bezel, silver Roman dial with blue steel "epee" hands, sapphire topped crown, and Swiss Cartier automatic movement.
Unlike the quartz version of the Santos, this mechanical example has a mechanism that showcases the timeless art of traditional Swiss watchmaking.

Note that the waterproofing gasket in the crown normally makes this model slightly stiff to wind. If you would prefer never to handwind it, it's a great candidate to for pairing with a watch winder for convenience.
